Roadtrip to Sorbas

Overview

This road trip through the Sierra Cabrera offers a blend of rugged mountain landscapes, charming villages, and breathtaking vistas. 


Starting at your villa in Sierra Cabrera, the journey takes you through the winding mountain roads to the ruins of El Dondo, with a stop at the Pedanía de la Carrasca church. From there, enjoy the panoramic views at the Iglesia Theresa vantage point before passing through the traditional villages of Turre. After passing under the highway, the scenic route leads to the stunning lookout at Mirador Urra, before arriving in Sorbas, known for its unique gypsum caves and pottery. The return journey takes you via the picturesque village of Bédar, offering a perfect end to this scenic and cultural adventure.

Most important viewpoints

Sierra Cabrera

  • Begin your journey from the villa in Sierra Cabrera, nestled in the scenic mountains. This area offers beautiful views of the rugged landscape and is perfect for nature lovers.

Mountain Drive

Villages of Turre

  • As you continue, you’ll pass through several small villages that are part of Turre. These traditional Andalusian villages are quaint and offer a glimpse into local life, with white-washed houses and narrow streets.

Scenic Route to Mirador Urra

Final Destination: Sorbas

Return via Bédar

  • On the way back, follow the route through Bédar, a small hillside village with beautiful views and traditional Andalusian charm. Bédar is known for its peaceful streets, local restaurants, and historic mining past.
